9 easy tips to clear your Android internal storage

9 easy tips to clear your Android internal storage
No matter which Android smartphone or tablet one uses, most often we do come across storage space issues. Sooner or later, the phone keeps prompting an error “storage space running out.” This is especially true in case of budget smartphones that come with around 4GB and 8GB of internal storage. There are many ways to free up the storage space on Android smartphones or tablets. And it’s fairly simple. If you are facing this problem, check out the nine easy ways you can reclaim space on your Android device.

1. Move apps to SD card:
By default, every app that you download on your Android device gets installed on the internal storage. However, you can head over to Settings > Apps > Downloaded Apps, then individually select each app and tap on “move to SD card.” Do note, not all apps support this feature. You will only be able to move the apps where developer has enabled “move to SD” option.
2. Uninstall unwanted apps:
Most of us have the habit of installing tons of apps on our smartphones. Often, after trying out some apps, a lot of people don’t use it too often. And even when an app is not in use, most of them keep running in background and consume valuable space too. To regain the lost space, uninstalling unwanted apps is one of the best options.
3. Clear cache:
After using apps for a while, they end up accumulating space in the cache. This not only slows down your Android device, but also eats up some space. To get rid of this cache memory, you can install apps such as Cache Cleaner, CleanMaster and CCleaner among others. After installing one of these apps, just run it. It will calculate cache from all apps and show up on the screen. Tap on clean and it will do the needful for you.
4. Clear downloads folder:
Android system allows you to download any type of file, be it PDFs, Word Documents, Music or any other format. While these files land in the download folder, most of us don’t tend to use them too often. As it eats up some valuable space on your smartphone’s internal storage, deleting unwanted files regularly from the download folder would be a good option.
5. Move photos and videos to SD card:
Today’s smartphones now coming equipped with better cameras and a lot of people prefer clicking photos and videos on them. By default, these photos and videos are stored on the internal storage. To make more space, it’s a good idea to move them to SD card. In most phones, the camera app also lets you save the clicked photos directly to the external storage, which can be done in camera settings.
6. Backup your files to cloud:
Whether you have photos, music, videos or any other files, it’s a good idea to backup them on cloud. There are apps such as OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox among others that let you store all your data online. You can also use Google Photos or Flickr to save your photos to cloud. Google Photos now has an option for automatically backing up files online and deleting the photos from your device. Once backed up on the cloud, you can delete these files from the local storage, thus clearing a lot of space on your device. The best part of cloud storage services is that you can then access these files on any device, be it your desktop, smartphone or tablet.
7. Clear browser history:
A lot of people surf the internet on their smartphones and tablets, and while they are not aware, it does create some cache on the device. This not only slows down the browser and the device, but also eats up a bit of storage space. To speed up the browser and clear some space, deleting browsing history and cache is always a good option. On the web browser, head over to Settings >Privacy and Security > Clear Cache and History.
8. Control media that WhatsApp downloads:
With a lot of media such as photos, music and videos now being shared on WhatsApp, it does tend to eat up considerable amount of space on your phone. However, WhatsApp does allow you to control the media that it automatically downloads. In the app, head over to Settings > Chats and Calls > Media Auto-download. Here, you can set what type of media you want to download when connected to Wi-Fi and mobile network. By restricting auto-download, you can not only save on mobile data, but also the space that it takes up.
9. Factory Reset:
Even after trying the above options if you are unable to regain enough storage space, factory reset data is the last resort. To do this, you can head over to Settings > Backup and Reset > Factory Reset Data. Do note, a factory reset will delete all you data from the phone’s internal storage, right from apps, messages, photos and videos. So, before you go ahead with a master reset, we’d recommend you to take a backup of all your valuable data.

Airline Baggage and Cargo Handler Jobs

If you are looking for an opportunity to break into airline or airport jobs, then this could be just what you are looking for.
Airports often have airline baggage and cargo handler jobs open, and it is a good way to get started – but it will require some hard work. Once you have the job, you can go from there to other job openings.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics is currently expecting the number of passengers and cargo volume to greatly increase within the next few years. In fact, as long as the economy holds out, they expect it to almost triple from what it is now. This means that now is a good time to get into jobs that can provide a great future for you. Full-time and part-time jobs are available in some places.
Job Responsibilities
Working in airline baggage and cargo handler jobs will mean different duties at different airports. Generally, the job responsibilities will be more diversified at smaller airports, which may include working at the ticket counter. Among the many duties that you can expect, cargo handlers will typically load, unload, and service aircraft between flights, which means cleaning the aircraft and lavoratories, the windshield, and de-icing the plane. Cargo handlers must load passenger baggage, mail, food supplies, commercial freight, or any other cargo going on the flight. As part of their loading and unloading duties, handlers often operate machinery such as forklifts, tugs, baggage conveyors, and various freight and baggage vehicles.
At smaller airports they can expect to meet the plane, communicate with the pilot to bring it to a parking spot, and possibly tow the aircraft, too. They may also provide shuttle service to and from the plane, hotels, car rentals, restaurants, etc. Since this position means it often deals with pilots and some passengers, strong communication abilities are needed.
Job Requirements
The main task in airline baggage and cargo handler jobs is to put it on the aircraft, or take it off. This is strenuous work and requires that the individual be strong and able to repeatedly lift up to 70 pounds or more. It may also involve taking this much weight up or down aircraft steps, too. They must be willing to work in all types of weather year around, which can be extreme in some places. The environment is often noisy, and they will be under frequent deadline pressure. They must also be able to follow safety standards for driving and moving heavy objects around expensive aircraft without damaging them.
In smaller airports, a baggage and cargo handler may help check in baggage by tagging it with bar code information to help track it. They may also assist passengers to find their luggage and file complaints or damage reports on computer. Cargo handlers may also receive cargo, tag it, and make sure that it gets put on the right plane. They also must ensure that there is enough space on a plane for a shipment, and must ensure that the aircraft is properly balanced.

Training & Degrees
As far as education goes, you must have a high school education or its equivalent, but a higher degree may be required at a larger airport. You will need to be at least 18 years old, and have a driver’s license with a good driving record. Cargo agents may need to have a special licence to drive large trucks and other vehicles. Since this is an entry level job, the airline will usually provide training – which is probably at the airport, but may be at another location.
All airport employees must be able to pass a background check that will go back at least 10 years. Passing a drug test is another requirement. You will be required to wear an airline uniform and maintain a good appearance at all times. Some airlines have special height-to-weight limitations and only offer certain size uniforms, so staying fit and trim is important. Since passengers often travel on weekends and holidays, you can expect to work both, as well as during any shift – possibly with overtime. Some airports have employees working eleven hours in four days, with three days off.
Salary & Benefits
The pay and benefits for airline baggage and cargo handler jobs is typically very good. You can expect benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, some life insurance and disability, vacation pay, sick days with pay, a retirement plan, possibly long-term care, and more. At some airlines, you may also get flight benefits, too.
Average starting pay is between $9 and $11 per hour, but there may be considerable overtime. There are opportunities for advancement in this field, particularly at larger airports – which are often unionized.
Quick Summary:
  • Airports are often hiring baggage and cargo handlers.
  • It is hard but steady work.
  • There is room for advancement.
  • The job comes with great benefits.

How to Use Google Maps for Offline Navigation? – Don’t Get Busted with Huge Bill by Using Mobile Data

Earlier, using internet connection was mandatory while navigating using Google Maps. It is completely understandable, but not feasible all the time, especially when we are travelling and burning our monthly bill cycle on mobile data. Google might seem to have heard our echoes and blessed us with offline navigation.
Yes, you read that right. You can now easily navigate through the city without having an internet connection. The only condition is that you should have downloaded the map of that city before selecting offline navigation.

Refer below for the guide on how to use this feature to get optimum results.
HOW TO USE GOOGLE MAPS FOR OFFLINE NAVIGATION:
Step 1. Very first thing you’ll need to do is to launch the Maps app on your phone.

Step 2. Now type in the name of the place you like to visit in the Search bar given on the top.

Step 3. Once you get the right place displayed on the map, simply tap on the location name from the bottom bar.

Step 4. After you tap on it, you’ll see a small popup with some basic information about the place along with a ‘download’ option. All you need to do is to tap on the download option.

Step 5. You’ll get a warning message about the size of the map. It is recommended to download maps over Wi-Fi as their size is always 100MB+. If you are already on the Wi-Fi network, then tap on the ‘Download’ button located at the bottom-right side of the screen.

Step 6. Now you’ll need to name this offline map. So name it with relevant area details that make it easier for you in future.

That’s it; this will begin to download the area map on your Android mobile. Make sure you search and download maps of all the places you wish to navigate in offline mode.

How to Add 256 WhatsApp Group Members to WhatsApp Group.

Today is something which is often required by many marketers/large group students or any other large online community.

Since WhatsApp makes communication easy and faster most of the online communities are thinking to settle on WhatsApp but one limitation of not being able to add more than 100 members in groups stop them to connect on WhatsApp. Previously WhatsApp allowed only groups with 50 members, however the size was increased to 100 after the Facebook-WhatsApp acquisition. However, 100 is also a small number when it comes to large groups which has more than 500 members.

OFFICIALLY ADD 256 MEMBERS TO WHATSAPP GROUP

So what can they do? They can obviously go with the various WhatsApp Mods available but then like WhatsApp banned the users for using WhatsApp Plus. The same might be the case. So while trying to enable the call feature yesterday I found a way to add more than 100 participants/members in a WhatsApp Group. Yes! More than 100! Are you shocked? Don’t be let’s begin with the steps to add more than 100 members in WhatsApp group so that you can widen your Groups in case you are having large number of people.
How to Add More Than 100 Members in WhatsApp Group [Breaking the Limit]
Before beginning with the steps let me tell you that you will be able to add more than 100 members in any WhatsApp group you are an Admin of, to cross the limit of 100 members in WhatsApp, there are something which you will require, Oh! No extra software or hardware device, just simple changes would work. Below are the things required:
·         Latest WhatsApp Installed (Since I’ve tried it with the latest version, I would recommend this)
·         Root Powered File Explorer (ES File Explorer)
·         Rooted Android Phone.
If you are having all of these things ready with you then let’s begin with the steps so that without wasting a minute you can widen your circles and can add more members to your existing circles to make them a part of the group.
Step 1: Open File Explorer (Used ES File Explorer Here)
The first and the foremost thing you will need to do with the ES File Explorer is, you need to enable the “Root Explorer” Option in it, To enable the root explorer in ES File Explorer, Just Open it and swipe from left and enable the Root Explorer by giving access to the super user. In case you are confused with enabling root explorer just follow the sequence shown in the Image below.

Step 2: Open the below shown Folder and Edit the WhatsApp Preferences.
So once you’ve given proper access to the Root Explorer and have enabled root explorer then let’s begin with the Editing WhatsApp Preferences File. So navigate to the following Directory: data/data/com.whatsapp/shared_prefs/com.whatsapp_preferences.xml and edit the com.whatsapp_preferences.xml file. Didn’t get the proper location? Didn’t find the file? Follow the below image to reach the correct destination.

Step 3: Edit the WhatsApp_Preferences.xml File using the Editor.
Once you reach the above mentioned location, what you have to do is modify the WhatsApp_Prefrences.xml file, below is the part of the file which you will have to modify so that you can add more than the existing whatsapp group limit. Look for
“int name=”participants_size_limit” value=”100″ and replace the 100 by the maximum number of members/participants you would like to have in your Group, Here I’ve replaced by 1000 because I want 1000 members in the WhatsApp Group, You can keep the number depending on your needs. After changing it, save the file and close it.

Now go to the App Manager and Force Close WhatsApp. After force closing come back to WhatsApp and Turn it on and now create a group and add members, you will see that the member limit which was previously 100 has raised to the number you entered in the maximum participants in the code.

That’s all folks, now you can add as many people you want in your WhatsApp Group. At the end I would like to tell this is a trick which I came across while testing some stuff. This information is just for information purpose.

Android Powered Smart Bathroom Mirror For Your Smart Home.

With each passing year, the futuristic contraptions of science fiction movies edge closer and closer into the realm of reality. Case in point: Braun (An engineer at Google) has just made a smartmirror that runs Android.

No, not that Braun — this Braun. An engineer at Google, Max Braun is someone who enjoys using his spare time in more productive ways than simply watching TV on the couch. Instead, he has been building his own smart bathroom mirror — and it looks amazing.

The mirror displays information such as the time, weather forecast, and latest news headlines in a clean, minimalist UI. It's still a work in progress, and Braun is still experimenting with adding other things like traffic conditions and reminders. The display itself isn't interactive, but that's not really the point: Braun says the idea is for the mirror to automatically pull relevant data in the same way that Google Now does. For anything else, there's always voice search.

The setup is surprisingly simple: aside from a fancy two-way mirror, it's just a regular display, a controller board, a power button, and a Fire Stick. Other than that, it's just a bunch of glue, tape, and plastic holding everything together. The mirror itself is the most expensive part (depending on how large a mirror you get and where you buy from, you can quickly end up spending serious money), but you can get everything else for just a few hundred bucks. You could probably even get by with one of those Kes 5,000 Fire tablets.

It's worth noting that this isn't by any means the first DIY smartmirror we've come across — it isn't even the first one powered by Android: there are already guides, Reddit threads, and even dedicated apps for building your very own smartmirror. Still, it's one of the best looking ones we've seen yet, and I wouldn't mind having one myself. If you're also interested in pimping up your bathroom with an Android Wallable device, Braun has promised to post a how-to soon enough.

Can Developers Delete App Review in Play Store?

Whether we are buying any product from any online site or downloading an app, we tend to check the reviews before making any purchase. Many of the users have a misconception when they check the app reviews, they consider that the reviews are manipulated and negative reviews are deleted.
To your surprise, it’s a hoax. As far as our experience and knowledge are concerned, there’s no way a developer can delete a review. Yes, they do have an edge over you by having little more information about the reviewer. This information is usually about the device and Android version, which helps them to identify the problem precisely.
The information consists of Version code, Version name, Device, Manufacturer, Device type, Screen size, OS, Device language, and Screen density. Apart from this information, there is no option to delete the review. We have given an explanation on this information.

1. Version code: Here it displays the version code of the particular app or game.
2. Version name: This section displays the version of the app or game.
3. Device: Here your device name is displayed. For example, Nexus 6 or Nexus 6p.
4. Manufacturer: Over here, the name of the device manufacturer is listed.
5. Device type: This part shows whether your device is a mobile or a Tablet.
6. Screen Size: This does not mean your physical screen size; instead, it refers to the resolution. For example, 1440 x 2560.
7. OS: This section displays your Android version, whether it is running Android Lollipop, KitKat or any other.
8. Device language: This part displays your device language, which helps a developer to get an idea of your country.
9. Screen density: In simple words, this part displays the DPI of your screen to the developer.

From the above information, it is clearly evident that there is no way a developer can delete a review. As said earlier, they get to see more details than normal users. This information helps them to troubleshoot more easily because they already have the basic information they need.
